I am a former owner/operator with over 30 years experience in the business. The last restaurant, I owned was about 5 years ago, I love this business, but my family couldn't take it anymore. After we sold it, I wandered aimlessly, didn't know what I should do. Then I started a restaurant equipment business, which I ran for about 4 years until I sold it. Now I make seasonings blends, bbq rubs, hot sauce and working on bbq sauce and marinades.
I'm I consider myself knowledgeable in all aspects of the food business, from cooking, supply management, equipment, human resources, front of house operation, marketing, and etc etc
I guess you could say, I fancy myself as head cook, chief bottlewasher and head waitress.
