everhot electric roaster model 900

My parents have this roaster from when my grandmother died years ago and I wondered if anyone had one of these things?

To me this thing is something like a primitive slow cooker but since its so old I don't dare use it(electric problems, maybe)

looking at this one could cook a dinner for 4-5 people but i never remember seeing my grandmother using it when we visited.
