Freezing oranges

I only used to do this when relatives in FL would send boxes of oranges as gifts! We just put them in ziplocs, and that was it - nothing complicated. To get the zest off, I'd just grate it off frozen fruits, then let them thaw, and use as desired.

I have done that with lemons and limes. I didn't even bother with the bag, because I usually only do it with one or two at a time. Works a charm.
 
Yet another example of I learn something new every day here. My Meyer lemon tree is having a bumper crop, and I'll simply be freezing some of them whole from now on.
