Awesome, Sierra! Thanks a ton! :mrgreen: I'm a bit emotionally tied to the shuttle program for reasons that I stated in a past post and don't really want to get into right now. I can't wait! Just over a month from launch!!!
 
Me too! I read an article recently that said that NASA has moved the public viewing area farther away from the launch site to minimize any potential harm from an incident. I'll try and find it, it seems that NASA is being overly cautious, which is understandable. One more incident would probably shut down the space program for decades.
 
My grandpa was there for a launch and he said that just after the rockets light up you can see the ripple coming across the water from the sound wave and then BOOM! Off she goes!!! I'd make the trip down to see a launch! Hm. Maybe I can schedule my OBX trip and extend it to see a launch! Oh, that would be too cool! :cool:
