Is tomato puree the same thing as pureed tomatoes?

it may seem obvious that it is but I have to know for sure before I use tomato puree in my cheesy meatball recipe. Actually the recipe calls for mariana sauce but I am going to us tomato puree because that is what I have on hand.

Now I have to figure how much seasoning I should use for one cup of puree
