DD wants tacos.
I want split pea soup made with smoked ham hocks.

We had potato patties, falukorv and egg, yes simple and quick. I had no energy for anything else

I am making beef enchiladas, "green" rice, and guacamole.

I picked up some poblanos and tomatillos to make a green chili sauce for turkey enchiladas this week. Will probably have cumin rice as well.

Craigsy, what's a potato crown?

DW was feeling crappy and asked for me to cook something that she considers basic comfort food. So at her request, I made thin chicken cutlets, boiled yukon golds, steamed corn, and a spring mix with breadcrumbed goat cheese medallions and creamy balsamic dressing.

I thought I'd make macaroni and cheese with the cheese combo I used for the stovie: blue cheese and cheddar, with some diced ham added, and cook it the same way.

Another experiment. You'd think I'd learn.

Yes, what is a potato crown? He sure had me at 'potato' and 'deep fried'.

We were out this morning for yet another doctor appointment (went well). They always tire me out so while waiting for a prescription I picked up a deli chicken and two salads - Greek for TB and Kale slaw for me.

I'll be pan frying burgers with fried onions and a spinach salad with sliced cukes and a home made balsamic dressing. Breyer's chocolate ice cream for later and an imaginary reminder to stay out of the cookies.

A potato crown is a thin, flat tater tot.
