I'd vote for a savory bread pudding since it's sourdough, maybe Emeril's mushroom bread pudding, one of our faves. Bread crumbs or croutons otherwise. Did you forget about it for it to get that burned?
Just out of curiosity, what is the consistency of a bread pudding ? Is it quiche - like, or more firm ( and less eggy) ?
With Emeril's mushroom bread pudding, it puffs up like a souffle and then deflates as it cools (just like a souffle). Obviously it's more dense than a souffle would be, but otherwise, it's kind of like Whiskadoodle described. We always have this with prime rib. I don't find it eggy at all, especially as I usually add more mushies than the recipe calls for.

Im not an " Eggy" kinda guy. I like the taste of quiche, but the egginess i just can't get over. If its less eggy, Id probably be able to get over it.
