the finer the form of anything , the more you get on a spoon.
A spoonful of regular salt is more than the same volume in kosher salt.
it packs down more densely.
All msg is crystal, the powder is just smaller crystals ...same as with powder sugar.
go easy, you can always add more.

When using MSG, keep in mind a few things.
It’s not as “salty” as you might expect. It’s a flavour enhance product-hence 621.
