I want to grilled sliced zucchini and portobello mushroom caps, but want to try marinading them first, maybe in something based on balsamic vinegar. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I frequently grill both simply by marinating them in different favorite bottled salad dressings. The "Ken's" varieties are big favorites (for both vegetables & chicken). "Caesar" in particular.
When we grill veggies, several hours before I mix balsamic,evoo,garlic and onion powder,fresh chopped parsley,marjoram,tarragon and let stand, when about to grill I give them a light dusting of salt and pepper. As we grill we use some of the marinade to brush them.
