We went to a new restaurant. I had a Birria Burrito, which had birria, beans, and rice with a side of the birria consumme. Frank had a quesobirria. Both very tasty.
I used some store bought frozen pizza dough. We each put what we wanted on our pizzas. There wasn't a lot of mozzarella, so I used raclette on mine. It worked well. There was vanilla ice cream with fudge sauce and sliced almonds for dessert. That fudge sauce is so easy to make and works really well on ice cream.
We had leftovers, so this new house is feeling more like home. Our weather for the next two days is supposed to be lousy; I plan on making a couple of real meals.
I made an easy Rachael Ray recipe I like. Chop an onion, as much bell pepper as you want, some potatoes and half of a smoked sausage (for two servings). Toss with a tbsp of olive oil and 2 tsp of seasonings you like (I used 1 tsp Penzeys Mural of Flavor and 1 tsp Penzeys Seasoned Salt). Roast at 400F for 20 minutes. Serve with a sauce made of Dukes mayo and Dijon-style mustard. I forgot to take a photo of my plate lol
Dinner last night was pan-fried skirt steak, Knorr Teriyaki Lo Mein Noodles side, and steamed asparagus (topped with butter and fresh grated Italian cheeses).
For the wife, fried slices of Spam (it's what she wanted) and two eggs, over medium. For my daughter and myself: spicy pork sausage, a 14 oz can of mushrooms, a medium can of cheese sauce and long grain white rice.
