I did use more than 1/2 of the batter, probably 5/6 of it or so, but that browining occured only in the first 12 minutes. While using all of the batter probably would have lessesned the effect, I think it would still occur. But if anyone with access to all of the proper equipment tries this out, let us know what happens. I'll certainly be interested to know.
