Rubbed and grilled country-style pork ribs, buttered egg noodles and steamed broccoli.

Broccoli and veggie basmati rice. We ate a lot of bready stuff yesterday, whole wheat blueberry yeast pancakes and calabash quick bread. Sliced apples with date paste for snacking all day.
 
@JohnDB it sounds like you haven't found the right partner. Himself and I will celebrate our 48th anniversary next month, his sister and her husband crossed the 51 year line in August, and both parental units had long marriages. We all ate wedding cake. :giggle:
 
Ladies,
It's just an old joke my Grandfather used to tell.
I'm very very very happily married to a wonderful woman. I actually made our wedding cake because the wedding was in the middle of nowhere and getting one made with a good buttercream was going to be impossible...much less 4 tiers. (Extremely expensive too)
We did good to get away with the topper. There was nothing left. The preacher ate 4 slices himself.
