I had chili and greens and beets, while he had french fries, applesauce, chili and macaroni. Barberry/zucchini bread for dessert.

Pork steak, seared then simmered in a gravy with lots of onions and mushrooms. My mother used to make it; never tried it before myself. Haven't had this for at least 40 years.
Soup night here. I made Tuscan onion soup and served it with toasted, store bought, whole grain and sunflower seed bread. I really like that soup with the eggs poached on top.
This is the recipe I used, but I found that it was too sweet for my taste with red onions, so I used yellow onions, still sweet, but not too sweet.

Had a lunper of sauteed chicken breast medallions, seasoned with Montreal Chicken spice. Served on top of long grain rice and smothered with a gravy of halved button mushrooms and tiny pearl onions.

We went out for a late lunch, so had leftovers from that for dinner. Craig got nachos. I got French onion soup and fried mozzarella, both of which i have been craving but didn't feel like making. I got a sampler basket with the fried mozzarella, jalapeno poppers and toasted ravioli so Craig could have some too.
