Pubs with popcorn and peanut on ground?

Are there many establishments that have kernals and peanut shells on the ground? Like a German pub? We used to have a place like that around here.

A couple of decades ago a local steakhouse used to have peanut shells all over the ground but then they caught on fire and it destroyed the place!

There used to be a franchise that had that. But they were swept up every night so although technically they could burn - don't think they ever got to the tinder stage.

None that I’m aware of.

I think probably the cost, waste, and concerns over people with peanut allergies have probably put an end to it in most places.

I’m not sure if the Five Guys burger chain still offers complimentary peanuts.
