A basic red chutney
½ Coconut
Red chilies : 1-2
Tamarind : ½”X 1/4” piece
Salt
Onion (size of a lemon) : ¼
Grate the coconut (provided grater is available) otherwise cut into small pieces so that it fits in the grinder/mixer. Mix all the ingredients and grind it in the mixer after adding ¼ cup of water. It should not be very watery. Usually the above chutney is eaten with rice.
Red chilies can also be substituted with green chilies
only problem is the above chutney rquires immediate brushing of teeth once it is consumed !!
