This is a little spicy - 1/2 packet of Chili-O brand chili seasoning mix 1 C sour cream 1/2 C mayo stir it all together. Add more of the Chili-O if you want it more heat.

When I do, it's either just a few dashes of hot pepper sauce & a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime, a nice homemade tartar sauce, or a remoulade.

Jul 25, 2006 #23 R rickell Senior Cook Joined Mar 31, 2006 Messages 384 Location Kansas City horseradish cream sauce not sure if this would be good if the cakes are cajun, but i love it on the crab cakes i make it is very simple too melt a bit of butter in a sauce pad add some shallots then 1 cup of heavy cream horseradish to taste. i normaly will add 1/4 cup we love horseradish cook until thick we love this sauce

Chipotle lime mayo would get my vote. The chipotle flavor would not have to be very strong. Just a hint to a some smoky heat.
