A picky meal for us. Shrimp cocktail using 15 count Royal Red shrimp, marinated red bell and onions, and prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus. Salted caramel ice cream for dessert.

We had pork medallions in a reduced red wine/butter sauce, steamed asparagus, and buttered corn. No leftovers!

Grilled cheeseburgers on grilled buns with corn and tortilla chips with fresh guacamole. Watermelon for dessert.

It was time for the pot roast from the afore mentioned brisket. Pretty tasty.

This morning when DH got up, I asked him, "would you like steak or pot roast for dinner tonight?" As soon as I said it, I thought, dumb question! Better start defrosting the roast, if we want to have dinner at a decent hour. I should have taken the roast out when I got up. It was Heavenly...and will be one more time too!

Linguine and Broccoli Aglio e Olio (Garlic and Olive Oil), topped with ground red pepper flakes, parmigiano reggiano & pecorino romano cheeses.

We ordered from a new-to-us resto. DH got a sausage sub and I got a steak salad. It wasn't spectacular, but good enough that we will order from them again.

Breakfast for dinner for me. Fermented 9 grain flakes w/blackberry puree, golden raisins, ground chia/flax seed, cinnamon.
Orange for dessert.

We had shrimp cocktail, too, along with maque choux, a Rachael Ray recipe I've been using for probably 20 years. DH grilled the corn to give it some char.
