A picky meal for us. Shrimp cocktail using 15 count Royal Red shrimp, marinated red bell and onions, and prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus. Salted caramel ice cream for dessert.
This morning when DH got up, I asked him, "would you like steak or pot roast for dinner tonight?" As soon as I said it, I thought, dumb question! Better start defrosting the roast, if we want to have dinner at a decent hour. I should have taken the roast out when I got up. It was Heavenly...and will be one more time too!
We ordered from a new-to-us resto. DH got a sausage sub and I got a steak salad. It wasn't spectacular, but good enough that we will order from them again.
We had shrimp cocktail, too, along with maque choux, a Rachael Ray recipe I've been using for probably 20 years. DH grilled the corn to give it some char.
