    BBQ pasta salad

I want to make a pasta salad with a bit of Q influence for a party I've been invited to this weekend. I'd like it to be as strictly side dish as I can get it maybe just bacon or something as far as meat. I tried to search in the recipe section but that useless, just a bunch of daddiQUe crap...

    Back problems? Anyone?

So I've had a nagging back pain for a while now, finally it got bad enough I went to the doctor. After a few weeks of physical thearapy it got a ton worse so I got a MRI. Turns out I have a herniated disk with a loose fragment. Surgery is probable, Has anyone had anything similar? What kind...

    Sunday Breakfast Dog

Serious eats had a list of BallPark Dogs last week that gave me a craving so I threw this together for breakfast Sunday Morning. Not too fancy, but tasty. Steamed some dogs, topped with some pepperjack, bacon, fried eggs, homefries and some trappy's. Turned out to be a mouthfull.

    Grape vine must die.

Got a grapevine I wanna kill. I've trimmed it countless times and hate it. It's huge and grows like crazy so it's gotta go, but it's under my fence so I think I might damage the fence if I pull it out. Here's what I attempted today.

    A bit healthier

This sounded good all day so I threw it together for a fairly healthy Tuesday night dinner. Got some chicken going and added some fresh corn. [attachment=0:khkxd4v3]Cornadd.JPG[/attachment:khkxd4v3] Decobbed the corn and added it to a saute of black beans, onions, japs, and tomatoes...

My wife's grandmother was doing some housekeeping and decided she didn't need her mixer anymore and was curious if I wanted it, and I did. (I've never bought one for some reason.) Turns out it's a kitchenetics mixer with a lots of attachments including a meat grinder. It's kinda old but ya...

    Wolfe Rub to the rescue!

I'm doing 2 more butts today. I got them on around 6:30 this morning, there in the 5 lb range so I think I'm gonna have to pull the water pan out and cook a little hotter at the end to get them done in time. When I started rubbing the second one I noticed I was getting low on my usual pork...

    Boneless butts

In a few weeks I’m cooking for a party. Not a big deal but most of the stores around here usually carry smallish butts. If I can’t find larger ones I may resort to boneless ones from Costco. I’ve never cooked boneless butts before so I was wondering if there is any difference in cook time or...

    Gyros

I made gyros the other day. I basically followed a cross between the CI version and the one on serious eats. I was skeptical but it was pretty good (cooked some marinated sirlion just in case though). Next time I'll do a grilled version. Pic was taken during assembly, should have red onions...
