How do I chop Maraschino Cherries?

:chef: For a few, my tool of choice is either a good sharp knife or a pair of scissors, but I've never sprayed those to keep them from sticking. I've really never had a problem with sticking with just plain maraschino cherries. The candied ones are a little different story though.

Last thing that made you smile?

Just the thought of my family all being here this next week, makes me so happy, and brings a smile. :chef: I haven't seen one son for almost a year, and it has been awful!

Last thing that made you smile?

Oh my, what a fabulous meal!.....just one of my favorites is all. I would have loved to have been there, and helped celebrate your birthday! In case I forget, when the actual day comes along, I hope you have the most wonderful birthday you've ever had (it certainly seems you have had...

Last thing that made you smile?

I don't get any ads down the sides, but I'm not complaining. Whoever runs those ads, such as the site they're on, gets credit every time someone clicks on one of them. That's probably the way this site pays its way. I am an Amazon customer though, and like the company very much! Fact is, I just...

Last thing that made you smile?

I can hardly wait to hear how it works. I have a friend with a new Wolfe range with so many modes I hardly know how one would ever use them all, but my, that Wolfe line is like a dream.....beautiful!! It does just about everything but sing and dance. Congratulations!!:chef:

Last thing that made you smile?

 I believe I remember telling my kids,"wait until you grow up and you'll see what it's like." Many times I look back and remind them now about different things, and we all sit and laugh. Sometimes they'll say, "but Mama, we never acted like that. We knew better than to pull a stunt like...

Last thing that made you smile?

:chef: As with many of you all, my family brings the smiles just about every day, but I can't remember being able to remain so calm, as you did with your children visiting Santa, kades, and if memory serves, mine reacted pretty much the same way, except mine are all 4 sons, and what a delight...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

Oh, I forgot about all the different kinds of vinegars I have, and right now, I store those along with the cooking oils, but the other concentrated oils for flavoring baking etc., such as lemon, lime, peanut butter, coconut, peach and others in 1 oz. bottles that are used with a medicine dropper...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

Oh my! That's an excellent question. Did she invite us, or did we invite ourselves? I've lost track by now, but I think she originally invited us, and we were going to bring along some treat to go with tea or coffee, along with some good garden strolling music, but that was in her fantasy, so...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

I just really have so many more spices, extracts and concentrated flavored oils than I have room for them, that I have to nearly take everything off the shelves to get to what I want to use at any given time. I'm in bad need of a complete kitchen/pantry make over. Yes, let's go to KE's...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

Love your kitchen, we'll help push the wall out to make it larger, but please don't ditch, Andrea. I'll bring him on a CD if we can't have him in person, if that would help. I just love those Italian tenors! Don't you like them Katie? They send you off to fantasy land for...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

OOOOH! MY! Now that's quite a fantasy for sure, and just wouldn't that be wonderful. We could all swoon over that beautiful voice, and would never want to leave, but it sounds like a great fantasy plan to me! Count me in on this one! I'll be there with plenty of tea cookies for everyone...

    Describe your FANTASY KITCHEN

Will you serve tea as well? I'll bring the tea cakes. :chef: We can stroll through your beautiful fantasy garden with some nice classical music of some kind playing softly in the background! I really want nice soft music piped to every room of my house, not just the garden.

:chef: The peanut butter ones are a bit tedious to make aren't they? They are called "Buckeyes" here, and are pretty popular around the holidays. Your things look very nice!

    Best Chocolate Brownies Ever!

:chef:1/4 cup = 4 Tbsp. = 2 oz., so if you want 1/4 oz. you'll want 1/8 of that. I'm thinking clearly you want 1/2 Tbsp. (1 1/2 tsp.) of vanilla...make it pure.

Last thing that made you smile?

:chef: Listening to my nearly grown grandson telling me about the past week in college, and then his Daddy, my son, and him talking about going to play golf. They love it, and I love seeing my children enjoying their children. I love the fact that our family still enjoys the company of one...

    Question on cooking oil

Cooking Oils :chef: I really prefer the flavor of corn oil; although have never used peanut oil thinking it would be a heavy oil, still thinking it would have a good flavor though. All that said, I really don't fry foods, but do saute things such as onions, etc. I use mostly olive oil for that...

    Easy Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler I cut the butter down to around 4 to 6 Tbsp. and that's plenty for me. Then melt that in the bottom of a 2 qt. baking dish, then the batter over that, not stirring, peaches spooned carefully on top the batter, and any juice carefully poured over it all. You don't want to stir it...

Last thing that made you smile?

:chef: Really it's the sweet, tender things and watching children show tenderness, which usually come from them seeing it demonstrated in their owns lives that makes for a wonderful day, and makes us all stop for at least a moment to realize, how very important everything we do and saw really...
