Well... it was quite a show. It was better than I had hoped for. Elton and the boys played all the old favorite songs (opened with B-B-B-Bennie and The Jets) and only did one song I didn't know well enough to sing along with. The 'show' was good... maybe TOO good, as it distracted from the performance. The enormous hi-def jumbo-tron behind the stage area showed videos and the stage was continually being transformed by inflatables (roses, breasts, etc). It was all impressive albeit a little distracting.

I felt like nothing was really left out, and the quality was certainly there. Well worth it. Great stuff. And, yeah - I'll admit it... there were some tears.

jkath.... you have to talk him into going next time you're here. Just buy the tickets... he'll go and he'll have a great time.

I am so tempted.............
I'll have to work on him. Maybe I'll dangle the poker room at Bellagio in front of him.....

Lucky U, Z. Elton has always been one of my faves, but somehow, never caught him live/in concert. Good to know he's still 'got it', as I saw a televised concert, and he was kind of warbling (is that a word?). I kind of miss the 'old' days when he wore outrageous costumes... think he sold a lot of his wardrobe and wild glasses off. If he comes back to LA, (with your good review), I would like to see him -- before he's in a walker . Thanks for the thumbs up.

One of the last 'live' concerts I saw was "The Boss." Good performance, but no showmanship. Frankly, I almost dozed off, LOL.

You could always come to Vegas, mish... it's not that far.

Don't tempt me, Z. I adore Vegas, and a v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n, is long over due. Almost considered buying a home out there, but, WOW, is it hot. Miss seeing those big armed guards that come into the casino, 4 at a time, at about 4 a.m., and empty all the money out of the machines into plastic trash containers. There's a live show! :ROFLMAO:
