I'm with Dragnlaw on this one. I was exposed to liver in the 70s and I can assure you I still would never eat it. I know this way: if I can't get it past my nose, I know I won't be eating it.

Breakfast this morning was watermelon. I spent $5 on a watermelon at a vegetable stand hoping it was better than the store bought ones. Unfortunately, it tasted just the same. I was able to grow some watermelon when I lived in San Jose and eating that was like eating home grown strawberries or blueberries - it was like eating a different fruit compared to what is sold in grocery stores. So it looks like I'm going to have to learn to grow watermelon in a cold climate.

With that in mind, I did try growing and eating fresh green beans once but alas, they just tasted like fresh picked grass. *spit, spit*

New Hope Mills buckwheat pancakes with sausage and sugar free maple flavored syrup! 🐷🐷🐷

When I was young they still ground the flour in this old mill.

Now they are all grown up and grind their flour in a climate controlled factory with an attached cafe.

The old mill is slowly being renovated as a sort of living museum.

Progress makes me sad but pancakes cheer me up!!!🤭
