Christmas Cake

This makes a pretty cake. You can use round peppermint candies in place of the candy canes.
Enjoy! Debbie

CHRISTMAS CAKE

CAKE
1 box(es) WHITE CAKE MIX
1/4 teaspoon(s) RED FOOD COLORING
1/2 teaspoon(s) PEPPERMINT EXTRACT

ICING
1 cup(s) POWDERED SUGAR

MILK
1/2 teaspoon(s) VANILLA
1 (1 ounce) CANDY CANE; Crushed.
_____

Grease a 12 cup bundt cake pan.
Make cake mix according to package directions.
Pour 2 cups of the cake batter into the bundt pan.
Add cup of cake batter to a bowl; add red food coloring and peppermint extract; drizzle over batter in pan.
Drizzle remaining batter over batter in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove cake to a wire rack to cool.
Drizzle with icing and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.

Icing.
Add powdered sugar to a bowl, stir in vanilla and milk a little at a time until smooth and desired consistency.
