Gingerbread Cake

Here is a recipe that is one of my BF favorites.His Grandmother used to make it for his Father.Just one of those things i truly like to make.It's easy,but it makes him so happy and i know it brings back memmories of his dad &family..

1c.oil
1c. sugar
1c. molasses
3 eggs beaten
1tsp ginger
1tsp cinnamon
3c. flour
1/3 tsp salt
1 1/2 c boiling water
3 tsp baking soda
Mix all ingredients in large bowl.Palce the 3 tsp of baking soda into the boiling water.Immediately add to batter.Mix well. Put in a 9x 13 pan bake for 40 min at 325---don't ice the cake---
serve with ice cream,whip topping or as the BF likes spread on some butter ;)
