Hi, folks! I canned some tomatoe sauce yesterday, and I’m afraid I messed up everything. To start, I forgot to remove air bubbles. Then, after it was done processing, I removed the lid but forgot to turn off the heat. I had set the timer for it to sit 5 minutes, but didn’t realize until the timer went off. Upon doing reading, I read that the cool down process is very important. I normally do it, but I wasn’t paying good enough attention. Will it be safe, or should I throw it all way? Makes me sick to do that, but I’d rather be emotionally sick than to get botulism. :/ Any help is appreciated.
