Okay, I went back and reread your post. I thought you were saying "The recipe for butter chicken...", referring to a specific, or the definitive, recipe. But, you wrote,

The butter chicken recipe use calls for whole tomatoes chopped up.

I think you left out the word "I". So, we were never actually disagreeing.
