Hi, Betty. Welcome DC. You will find any number of folks here who use a dehydrator. Buck and I have one and don't use as often as we should. However, one of the handiest uses of it is to dry bread cubes for our holiday stuffing and drying baguette to make croutons. And, no surprise, we love making beef jerky in it.
I've also very successfully made dried bell peppers, which are quite costly in the store. It's a nice way to preserve an abundance of peppers if you don't have freezer space.
