Baked a couple of Apple Pie cheese cakes, made w/ apple-pie liqueur & baked apples w/sugar cinnamon & honey.
You sure do make some pretty food!
I'm having flashbacks to an apple, cream cheese, streusel bar that Wegman's used to offer in the fall.

SO made a batch of brownies this morning
Do you favour a certain recipe?
I have several good recipes for brownies. One uses a prune puree as a substitute for butter - very nice!

She uses a Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie mix and adds chopped walnuts.

Duncan Hines is a good mix.
I always add a heaping tablespoon of cocoa to it and I scatter the walnuts on top so they can toast as the brownies bake.
Stirring a handful of baking chips in can't hurt!
This old Hershey's recipe is also good, sort of a throwback to the 50's or 60's.

Thanks but, as mentioned, I have several "good" recipes for brownies. "Good" to me is with much less sugar, i.e. downplaying it and bigging up the cocoa/choc factor.

Was at work later last night and ran into a couple friends that I rarely see from my night shift "days", they put in requests for Pumpkin Cheesecakes...better start baking.

Well, the apples are sitting on the counter, and the big bowl of ice water with lemon is right next to them. Now I just have to get off my backside and start peeling.
3 apple pies in the freezer, one in the oven along with supper. Whew! That was more work than I bargained on!
