We went out for breakfast at 1 of go-to places this a.m. I got chicken fried steak, which was the most tender CFS I've ever had, with gravy, eggs, toast and grits. Kind of thought it was a bit odd to serve with toast instead of biscuits, but okay. Grits, however, were their first fail for us and boy was it a spectacular one. They were the consistency of and tasted like cream of wheat. I never even thought to ask whether they used instant, quick, or long-cooking because this place usually makes everything from scratch, they even make their own breakfast sausage.
