When I'm in the "big" city, I always visit the Goodwill store there.
In the locked display case at the check-out counter I spied a sweet little ginger-haired doll. I asked to see her and, after determining she was a genuine American Girl doll, I purchased her.
And, yes, she WAS an American Girl doll and in near perfect condition.
For $19. she was mine.
