This egg nog is so thick and creamy, with a rich and luxurious flavor that it will become a favorite of your family.

3 cups half 'n half
1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup of your favorite sweetener
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Heat half 'n half and cream in the same pot until it is shimmering on top, but not boiling.
While the liquid is heating, separate two eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the yolks and sweetener with a wire whisk until smooth.

take one-half cup of the hot liquid and slowly add it to the bowl with the beaten yolks while whisking vigorously. Poor the half 'n half/yolk mixture slowly into the pot of heated liquid. Add the nutmeg. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a suitable container and chill in the fridge. Discard any egg solids. from your strainer.
