The name of "Nike" is attached to more than sneakers !
Named after the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike also refers to an Army project in the 1940's that resulted in the creation of the Nike / Ajax anti-aircraft missle system.

i missed #'s 1 and 7 today. it seems strange to miss #1, but get #8. :wacko:
btw, there are many houses in yaphank, n.y. (suffolk county, lawn guyland) which are listed as being on hitler street, or himmler, or goering street on their deeds. hitler street is now known as park boulevard.
