TRUTH !!

At the beginning of WWII, the United States was still suffering from the
effects of the Great Depression. Unemployment fell rapidly beginning in 1940
due to increased industrial demand from the war in Europe, and after the
United States entered WWII in 1941 it plummeted to record low levels, as
almost all able-bodied men were drafted into the military. The record low
levels were achieved despite large numbers of women entering the labor
force. Unemployment began rising again in 1945, and by 1946 it had reached
3.9%.
