Hmmm, the recipe didn't say baking powder at all. I must admit I was checking out the cake in the movie as it looked like it was 3 or 4 inches tall! but I assume they just made a cake that large for the sake of it looking good in the movie.

For your next test try a Lemon,Polenta and Almond cake, its one of my favs, dense and moist with a citrus edge.
