I am looking for an app that works on both Android and iOS that I can input my recipes to have on both my phone (iOS) and tablet (Android). I'm trying BigOven, but was wondering if anyone else uses apps for their recipes.

The only one I really use anymore is called Pepperplate. There are Android, Apple, and Windows 8 versions of the app. It can also be run from any web browser.

What I like about it is that it's compatible with a lot of recipe websites, such as food.com, Food Network, AllRecipes, etc. If you see a recipe you like on one of the supported sites, all you do is click the "Add to Pepperplate" button on your browser's toolbar and it will automagically import the recipe and photos into Pepperplate. For unsupported sites, you can usually just cut and paste the text into the PepperPlate editor and it will parse everything for you.

There are also recipe scaling, shopping, and menu making functions.

It isn't perfect, but for a free app it's pretty darn good.

More info here: Pepperplate
