Honey Taffy

I made honey taffy and didn't use a recipe!! I didn't even measure!!! It was fantastic...

In a pot I dropped in some butter and sugar---about 50/50 I brought that up to a boil. Into that I added a a some honey, about 1/3 as much as the sugar.
Brought it back to a boil and let it cook until when a spoon drug through the bubbling foam left a good trail.

took it off the heat, added a touch of vanilla and let it set to cool just a bit.

When it had cooled but was still hot I started beating it, as it thickend it turned into a beautiful glossy taffy. On cooling it was terrific. Chewy with a great honey flavor...

All in all it took about 20 minutes.... What a treat!
