I'm cleaning out freezer so it will be corned beef tonight.
GD and I were going to be making some fresh fettuccine and Alfredo sauce with tossed salad to accompany.
However, she just got called out for a flight so I'll be going solo.
My husband had his hands behind his back the other day
and whipped one of these out:

DH: Remember I gave you my last coupon awhile back and it was for a Meat Pie?
Me: Yes
DH: And do you remember that it didn't come out so well?
Me: Yes

(It was really awful!)
DH: Can we try it again?
Sure we can!
I ended up making split pea soup with ham.
My mother used to keep the bone from a Honey Baked spiral cut ham and make split pea soup and ham after Easter. Wow. I only wish I could cook like that.
I like it myself. Personally, I find the flavor to be less pronounced than salmon. But, as with all fish, I think most of it just comes down to how fresh it is.Nice looking dinners all around, gang! Steve, I see steelhead trout in the stores on sale regularly. How strong of a flavor does it have? From what I've found online, opinions range all over the park. I'm not much for strong-flavored fish.
