Oh well, might as well make the most of my birthday. I braised these yesterday for tonight. The braising liquid is flavored with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sherry, red wine, Chinese wine, veal stock, scallions, chinese five spice, and Asian vegetable aromatics:

Asian Style Braised Veal Shank "Osso Bucco"
Lemon Risotto, Sauteed Mushrooms, Wilted Arugula, Ginger Beurre Blanc, Natural Braising Jus

This looks fantastic to me :) If you could prepare anything at all for yourself on your birthday, what would it be?:chef: Or maybe you would prefer someone else to cook for you?
