Oh well, might as well make the most of my birthday. I braised these yesterday for tonight. The braising liquid is flavored with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sherry, red wine, Chinese wine, veal stock, scallions, chinese five spice, and Asian vegetable aromatics:
