Dinner, Saturday, April 7th?
I am going to a potluck at a friend's house. He likes to BBQ, so I am sure that there is going to be some good food. I heard him on the phone the other day ordering a keg of Fat Tire beer!! I am going to bring Spinach Salad with Sun-dried Tomatos and Farfalle and if I have time, Jkath's Jack Daniels Kielbasa. The bad news is that is is supposed to thunder and lightning again, so we might have to move the gathering indoors.
What's for dinner at your house?

Kim and I are both sick as dogs with colds. If I can get my act together enough to make a white sauce, we may have chipped beef on toast.

Ethan and Olivia are spending part of the evening with us so mom and dad can attend a wedding, so we are going to bbq, both kids love hot dogs, so that is the plan, some drunken beans, fruit and of course Ethan must have a few potato chips...I have a plate of grape tomatoes, celery, carrots, sliced cucumbers, the kids love these with ranch dip..Later ice cream will be the order of the day. I made some strawberry ice cream last night soooo

I think I'll be making jambalya with smoked sausage. I've got a cold too and can't taste much so hopefully the spicy dinner will clear the sinuses. If not, I guess I'll just have to pull out the chips and salsa later!

Ok, today was spent shopping, eating and drinking. 6 Raspberry Mojito's later we stopped at Fresh & Wild (Whole Foods) and bought yummy bread, olives, brie, vegetable chips, and the boys had some spicey sausage and ham. We layed everything out on plates in the living room and pigged out while watching Casino Royale and ending our feast with brownies. MMMMM! I don't even wanna know how many calories I consumed today!

My husband has a cold too...what a horrible patient he is. We are going to grill a couple filet mignons & some carrots, saute poblano peppers & onions and have a spinach salad with roasted red peppers, red onion, apples, toasted almonds, feta & blush vinaigrette. And a bottle of Francis Coppola's Black Label Claret Cabernet Sauvignon 2004.

I am in the mood for Pizza and I will call later in the day and order some.
I keep thinking about losing weight but this is not the way to go. Oh well it is delicious and I must have some.

Not much. Probably fress on whatever's in the fridge. Today was our monthly "date" day and we went to a favorite restaurant for lunch. They started a lunch buffet in February, so we tried that. Really, really good and, of course, we ate lots. I had a chance to enjoy some okra. Buck doesn't like it. It was just piled in a bowl. I couldn't detect any pickling or anything, but it was awesome. Ate a bunch. Even got Buck to eat one tiny one.

I'm thaawing out a steak, but I can't decide whether to just make a steak, baked potato and vegetable, or maybe slice it thin and make beef brocolli witn it. Or maybe I'll just make some tortellini with the bit of homemade sauce I have left in the fridge and save the steak for tomorrow.

Sounds like you all had very yummy meals. The party was lots of fun. To eat we had: BBQ chicken, cajun sausage, beef kabobs, my spinach salad that I described above, another spinach salad with strawberries and poppy seed dressing, tortellini salad, sushi with yellowfin tuna (one of my coworkers is Asian and she makes the best sushi), and for dessert we made s'mores at a campfire that we had in the backyard.
