"BraveTart: Iconic American Desserts" by Stella Parks, aka Bravetart of the eponymous blog bravetart.com and my favorite food blog Serious Eats, is now available for under $10 as either an ebook on Google Books or a Kindle version on Amazon.
It's as much fun to read as it is to eat dessert [emoji38] Like Kenji's Food Lab, it's full of interesting science and history about the recipes. I don't know how long it will be available at this price, but I think it's well worth it.
The foreword to the book is on this page: https://www.seriouseats.com/2017/08/bravetart-iconic-american-desserts-cookbook-introduction.html
Here's a review: https://www.saveur.com/bravetart-stella-parks-cookbook-review
It won a James Beard award last year.
