Hello! I am new to this forum. I joined with a specific purpose in mind. I am looking for a recipe for a soup that I ate several times nearly thirty years ago. It is a saurkraut soup that has Czech, Polish, or somewhere near there origins. The soup had a clear broth, kraut, mushrooms, sausage, and possibly spinach?? It was very tart and usually served at Christmas or New Years. I do hope someone can help. Thanks so much!

Welcome to DC. I have friend from the Sudetenland (German-speaking part of the Czech Republic). I'll ask her if she has a recipe for something like that. I have made sauerkraut soup that has pickles, kale and sausage in it, no mushrooms, but no reason why mushrooms couldn't be added.
