A couple of years ago, my wife bought me a smoker for Christmas. It was one of the best gifts I've ever received. Definitely one of the most used. This sounds really strange, but the violinist from my church actually talked me into getting one. I'll bet nobody else has the same story!
My brother-in-law was giving me a hard time about having a "smoking" problem (no tobacco, just meat!) and started calling me Sir Smokes A Lot. Somehow, the nickname stuck.
Anytime cooking involves smoke and fire, I'm in! I love doing brisket, pulled pork, smoked chuck roast (try it sometime!), chicken, steak, burgers, etc. There's always somebody who does it better, so I'm looking forward to learning some new tricks and finding ways to improve my current methods.
