Arkansas is currently second in the nation (only to Texas who has almost 1/4 million) for housing the number of Evacuee's from Louisiana and Mississippi at 75,000.
The Military re-opened Fort Chaffee near Ft. Smith in NW Arkansas and sending evacuees to Adams Field (Little Rock National Airport) in Little Rock both which were used as processing points.
Today a FEMA official called the Governers office to ask "Do you have any evacuee's in your state?"
Then again I guess it can be viewed as somewhat humorous in a macabre sort-of-way. After all, they themselves were hit by Hurricane "Homeland Security" several years ago and flooded in red-tape.
