It's five years that I live in London and I noticed how the Lambrusco that you can find on the shelves here (and in the US too) is really completely different from what Lambrusco is in fact!
The product massively distributed abroad is not event related to Lambrusco, except for the name that they put on it.
By the way there is a competition to win a bottle of what it is probably the best Lambrusco on the market today. Something comparable to a good Champagne
