My plum trees are overloaded and so I'be been trying many new recipes.
Came across one that is called plum butter. It's basically the plums pitted, simmered, strained, re-simmered with sugar until thickened then canned. I believe they are to end up similar to the consistancy of canned cranberry sauce. No so much! Mine ended up more like homemade plum nectar. Has anyone tried making fruit butter before? Any luck/suggestions would be very welcome. Also, now that I have all this nector, got any suggestions for a marinade? Thanks!!
