Some of you may be aware that the Jazz pianist George Shearing died earlier this week (at the age of 91).
This Sunday (2/20) Michael Bourne, host of Singers Unlimited on WBGO (88.3 FM and wbgo.org) will present a tribute to George on his weekly Singers show from 10 am to 2 pm EST. If you don't live in the area and want to listen, you can stream it from the web site.
Over the years, George Shearing played with/for an amazing array of noted singers such as Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Carmen McRae, Nancy Wilson, Rosemary Clooney and on and on. It should be a show worth taping.
