Black beans and rice

I am looking for a recipe for "authentic" blackbeans and rice, but doesn't have onions... I know, I have the tastebuds of a five-year-old, but I really love seasoned blackbeans. If anyone has recommendations, please let me know.

Here's a very authentic recipe from one of America's foremost Latin food experts. Just omit the onions.
