...terrible, careless mistake.
Someone left a small peice of plastic in the back of my oven, and none of us knew it was there or saw it when we emptied it for use.
So we cook dinner, and there's this funny smell...
Is our food poisoned? We think dinner is a waste- isnt burnt plastic known to cause cancer? We don't want to eat something that could hurt us.

It probably would not hurt you much, but the food will most likely taste horrible.

I would say start over brand new to be on the safe side.
