I seem to have a knack for selecting the worst grocery line to get on, and the worst lane to drive in on the expressway. Even when I select the "other " line to go on, when Im trying to outsmart my bad luck, it still turns out to be the worst one. Just cant win

HEH! I'm the worst at this...I've given up trying and just stick with the line I first pick. My last visit at a major mass distributor, I was in the checkout line for almost 20 minutes with only two people in front of me.

Unfortunately, if you want a well-trained cashier at some point they have to be loosed on the public. It is a pain, but worth it in the end. I've been that trainee at times and have always appreciated those customers who were patient and kind during my learning process...

I absolutely agree. I just don't want to be the one who has to endure the delay. Sometimes I am very impatient - but always polite.
