I'm celebrating my 60th B-day with Sauerbraten, Rotkohl and Kartoffelklosse. Made the Rotkohl yesterday and pickled the beef on Friday.
GD should be home for dinner tonight if the rest of her flights are on time. So we're planning tacos for dinner-one of her favorite meals. Just mixed up a batch of taco seasoning to get the ball rolling.

TACO SEASONING
12 parts Chili Powder
1 part Garlic Powder
1 part Onion Powder
1 part Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 part Oregano
2 parts Paprika
6 parts Ground Cumin
4 parts Kosher Salt
4 parts Black Pepper
I use three tablespoons of the blend to season a pound of meat.
...I like the recipe for your Taco mix Andy. The lazy me really likes Penzey's Taco mix by the bag.

Happy Birthday Craig.
All the "ethnic" corned beef lately has done bad things to my water retention, so something like fish is on the menu tonight. I have some cod that I'm thinking of baking in the individual casseroles on a bed of spinach and mushrooms.

I picked this up at Trader Joe's this morning. I'll slice them down to bite sized pieces and grill them on the Korean BBQ table along with the usual little side dishes...

Ooh, K, that sounds very yummy! Do you use any sort of sauce or liquid? I need to find new Fish dishes.
